Frequently asked questions
In plain language, typed the way they would say it to an analyst: “Where are we behind plan, by business line?” Genie reads the question, builds a query against the certified finance definitions in Unity Catalog, runs it under that user’s permissions, and returns a summary, a chart, and the SQL it used. The user can ask a follow-up in the same conversation, share the answer, or open the SQL to verify it. No SQL skills are needed to ask; the SQL is there for whoever wants to check.
Two safeguards, both visible to you. Accuracy is benchmarked against the committed question set before the agent is released, and the scores are yours to inspect. Every answer then shows the query and the tables behind it, so any number can be verified before it reaches the board.
Databricks sells the platform and funds partner-led adoption. The semantic foundation, the industry metric definitions, the accuracy benchmarking, and the adoption work are where a partner earns the fee. We work with your Databricks account team, not around them.
The scope is defined at the assessment readout, from your score and your question set. The readout names the scope, the duration, the price, and the deliverable before you commit to anything.
No. Unity Catalog permissions are enforced at query time, and the agent answers only with certified definitions. A user sees what they are entitled to see, and nothing else.
