The Problem

A global technology, software, and services company’s supply chain management systems were hindering business operations. A lack of end-to-end visibility and fractured mission-critical IT systems consistently slowed or prevented resolution of supply chain issues. As a result, teams were constantly in an expensive emergency resolution mode, losing revenue over lost or missing orders and unable to support the growth demanded by executive leadership.

The Blueprint way

“Blueprint addressed our supply chain pain points in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Not only did they develop the strategy we needed to gain internal support, they also built the platform in record time to deliver the results we needed.”

Technical Lead

Blueprint developed a telemetry platform that allowed users to define and monitor critical business processes that span multiple supply chain disparate systems at tremendous scale. We created a narrative-driven go-to-market strategy that combined market research and technology analysis into a comprehensive roadmap for success, diagramming the solution architecture using a technology stack mapped directly to client scenarios. Even after several rounds of refinement including client feedback, we assembled the solution strategy within 2 months so the client could immediately execute a clear and concise plan. With a comprehensive plan that garnered investment from internal product groups, Blueprint rapidly recruited an engineering team and built a production-ready version of the platform within 4 months.

Impact

  • Real-time visibility of complex process health and performance across the entire first and third-party supply chain on demand.
  • Business users and supply chain personnel can define analytics with no engineering involvement needed.
  • Self-healing based on predictive analytics addresses problems in real-time and identifies cost savings on the order of $100MM per month.
